England Vs Bangladesh First ODI England set Bangladesh 310

England openers started off strong before Bangladesh pulled things back with quick wickets. However, Ben Stokes and Ben Duckett countered the spin challenge beautifully en route a 153-run stand for the fourth wicket. While Duckett was impressive on debut with a solid maiden half-century, Stokes himself scored his first century in ODI cricket putting the visitors in command.

With both departing in the space of 16 balls, it looked like Bangladesh would restrict them to under 300. However, Jos Buttler switched gears, and well, towards the end reaching a half-century in 33 balls as he brought England back into the game with a 38-ball 63 as England finished with 309 for 8.

Can Bangladesh chase it down or do England have the resources to defend it?
Join us after the innings break to find out.

Fifty for Buttler:
Jos Buttler gets to a half-century in just 33 balls - his 11th in the format - to power England towards a strong total. How many can they get?

Moeen Ali picks out fine leg off a short ball, hitting it straight to Tamim Iqbal off Mortaza, who picked up his third wicket.
100 and out -
It looks like Stokes's luck ran out after his century. He skied one to Sabbir at deep midwicket, who held on to the catch off Mortaza as the all-rounder finally departed for 101 off 100, after being dropped twice before.

Maiden ton-
Maiden one-day century for Ben Stokes! He delivered when the team needed it the most with a clinical knock that reaffirms the talent that he is.

A wicket, finally-
Shafiul returns to bowl debutant Duckett, who went too far across, trying to sweep. The debtuant's brilliant innings of 60 off 78 came to an end, also ending a brilliant 153-run stand with Stokes.

Another drop-
Ben Duckett now handed a life by the fielders; put down by Mosharraf on 59. Nothing going Bangladesh's way here.

Maiden half-century-
Ben Duckett becomes the 23rd England player to get a half-century on debut. He also is the third-youngest player to do so. What knock this has been from the youngster, who has soaked in the pressures of international cricket impressively.

Dropped again-
This time, Stokes looked to go over extra mid off and cover, but ended up getting an outside edge, skying one off Mortaza to Mosharraf on 71. Stokes's lucky day?

Dropped-
Mahmadullah, at mid on, was given a low catch at off Stokes which was hit hard and flat, when on 69. The fielder failed to hold on to the straightforward chance. How costly will that prove for Bangladesh?

Century stand-
Stokes and Duckett's brilliant counter-attack not only revives England has them share a 100-run stand that has England in a great position at 166/3 in the 29th over. The pair got together when England was in a spot of bother, but have, together, revived the innings and put their side in a comfortable position. Bangladesh spinners posing little threat to this pair.
